PM says every aggravation will be met with a strong and effective reply
PM Shehbaz praised the Pakistan Army’s professional and effective response, which reportedly resulted in the destruction of several Afghan border posts and the capture of 19 key positions. In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Sharif said Pakistan is “proud of the professionalism of its armed forces,” who gave a “strong and fearless response under the leadership of the Field Marshal” to Afghan provocations.
“The Pakistan Army has once again proven that our defense is in strong hands. We know how to protect our borders and secrets very well,” the Prime Minister said. President Asif Ali Zardari also issued a statement, declaring that Pakistan remains fully committed to protecting its national interests and sovereignty.
“Pakistan will never accept any controversial or misleading position on Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, reiterating that the country’s stance on territorial integrity remains unchanged.
