Heavy rains in UAE: Live weather, traffic updates and airport advisories

Heavy rain in UAE

After a long spell of heavy rain in the UAE, which is partially continuing, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment tweeted safety guidelines for farmers and livestock owners to protect both people and property during the ongoing dynamic weather situations.

Residents of flood-affected areas were urged to brace for unstable weather in the UAE this week, with varying rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, and a noticeable drop in temperatures across several regions. The concerned authorities advised the public to stay updated on current conditions and follow official safety guidance. They emphasized the importance of relying only on verified sources for weather updates to ensure safety during this period of unsettled conditions. The General Command of Sharjah Police announces the reopening of Al Ezwah Street in Al Dhaid city in both directions, after it had been temporarily closed due to heavy rainfall and the flow of watercourses across the metropolises. It urges the public, during rainy weather, to exercise caution and vigilance, and to avoid approaching areas where valleys and dams are flowing, to preserve public safety.
